Conflict of Interest & Ethics

IM-GAEA maintains strict ethical standards throughout the evaluation process.

  • Jury members must disclose conflicts of interest
  • Jury members do not evaluate nominations where conflicts exist
  • All deliberations are confidential
  • Decisions are final and non-contestable

Multi-Stage Evaluation Framework

The evaluation process is conducted in six structured stages to ensure rigorous assessment and quality control.

Call for Nominations

Nominations are invited through official IM-GAEA website, institutional outreach, academic networks, and jury-recommended nominations.

  • Self-nominations
  • Institutional nominations
  • Peer or academic recommendations
  • Jury-initiated nominations (for select categories)
  • Each nomination must include verifiable documentation and supporting evidence relevant to the category.

Eligibility Screening & Documentation Review

All nominations undergo an initial screening and verification process conducted by the Screening & Verification Committee.

  • Category relevance
  • Incomplete or non-compliant nominations may be returned for clarification or disqualified at this stage.

Shortlisting Process

Eligible nominations are shortlisted based on rigorous evaluation criteria.

  • Evidence of impact and excellence
  • Only shortlisted nominations proceed to the jury evaluation stage, ensuring focused and high-quality assessment.

Jury Evaluation & Scoring

Shortlisted nominations are evaluated by the IM-GAEA Jury Panel, comprising senior academicians, subject experts, and independent reviewers.

  • Academic or institutional impact analysis
  • Each nomination is reviewed independently to maintain objectivity.

Final Review & Advisory Council Endorsement

Based on jury scores and recommendations, results are reviewed by the Awards Advisory Council for final validation.

  • Approve nominations
  • Merge categories when appropriate
  • Withhold decisions if needed
  • Declare no award if standards are not met
  • This step safeguards the prestige and credibility of IM-GAEA.

Selected awardees are officially informed and recognized through multiple channels.
